Queen Tribute Coming to Prairie Meadows
April 2 – Altoona, IA. Minneapolis-based Queen tribute band, The Crown Jewels, are set to perform in the Finish Line Show Lounge at Prairie Meadows on Saturday, May 25 at 8 p.m. The Crown Jewels are known for their ability to musically and visually recreate the Queen experience through elaborate lighting effects, costumes, and staging details.
The Crown Jewels do not use any backing instrumental or vocal tracks when delivering the vocal layering and studio precision that made Queen one of the most legendary rock bands of all time.
"We put this band together because over the years we all at some point in our musical careers have been influenced by Queen, and we wanted to share our love of this music with the public. While this music is very technically demanding and takes a lot of extra effort to get right, there is a certain joy that comes from playing it well and doing the music justice. We have worked hard to create a show that even Queen would be proud of," stated The Crown Jewels.
Tickets for the show start at $15 and will be available for purchase at prairiemeadows.com or Prairie Meadows Gift Shop beginning at 10 a.m. on April 5. Members of the property’s rewards program, Prairie Gold Rewards, will receive ticket presale codes. Prairie Gold Rewards membership is free and open to people 21 and older. Ticket price guarantees a seat at a reserved table in the Finish Line Show Lounge’s tiered seating area. Tiered seating will open to ticket holders at 7 p.m. There will also be standing room available for those without tickets.
No refunds, cancellations, or exchanges will be permitted. Program dates and times are subject to change. All concertgoers must be 21 or older to attend. For additional information, visit prairiemeadows.com.
