Prairie Meadows to Host Former Pro Football Players Meet & Greet

January 20, 2020 – Altoona, IA.

Prairie Meadows Casino, Racetrack & Hotel, the No. 1 entertainment destination in Iowa, is excited to announce its Pro Football Heroes Meet & Greet, featuring former pro football players Priest Holmes, 2020 Hall of Fame nominee LeRoy Butler, and 2002 Hall of Fame inductee Dan Hampton on January 25, 2020. The event will highlight the 54th Pro Football Championship Game, which takes place Sunday, February 2.

“With the Big Game right around the corner, this is a great opportunity to give our guests a chance to meet football royalty,” said Prairie Meadows Promotions Manager Kayla DeBruin. “It’s not every day one gets to meet a legendary football player in real time. This is the first event of its kind here at Prairie Meadows, and everyone is looking forward to it.”

Holmes, Butler, and Hampton will appear in-person from 2pm – 4pm on Level 4 of Prairie Meadows. The event is open to guests 21 or older. Outside autograph items will not be permitted. Photos will be provided for autographs with a limit of one autograph per guest.

It’s been a year since Prairie Meadows announced their innovative partnership with William Hill, America’s leading sports book operator. William Hill operates the 8,600 square foot sports book on Level 4, near the property’s racing center. The sports book partnership provides Iowan bettors access to William Hill’s innovative wagering technology, including its best-in-class mobile and online sports book products.

William Hill will be offering more than 800 ways to bet the Big Game, including props such as:

  • Will there be overtime?
  • Will there be a safety?
  • Who will be the Most Valuable Player?
  • Result of Opening Coin Toss – heads or tails?

The Sports Book also will be offering a $100,000 Parlay Card where bettors have the chance to win up to $100,000 by correctly choosing all 15 winners of 15 Big Game Props on the card. The parlay card is $5 to play, and sports fans may play multiple cards for the chance to win.
