October 7 – Riverside, IA. Prairie Meadows Casino Racetrack Hotel and Riverside Casino & Golf Resort co-hosted the fourth annual G.I.V.E Golf Classic on Wednesday, September 30. This joint effort met with great success, raising more than $90,000 for the G.I.V.E. Foundation. Dollars were raised through tournament sponsorships, team registration fees, silent auction, and cash donations.
“We were very proud to co-host this event with our friends at Riverside Casino,” said Gary Palmer President/CEO Prairie Meadows. “This shows how competing properties can come together for such a worthy organization like G.I.V.E. The opportunity to support this veteran-focused group is something we look forward to each year,” added Palmer.
“The unique opportunity for Riverside to partner with Prairie Meadows for the G.I.V.E. Golf Classic was wonderful,” said Dan Kehl President/CEO Riverside Casino. “Our combined efforts allowed us to raise a significant dollar amount to benefit veterans and their families,” Kehl added.
A 5th annual G.I.V.E. Golf Classic is being planned for next year.
G.I.V.E is the result of a partnership among the VA Central Iowa Health Care System, Iowa PGA Section, Prairie Meadows Casino Racetrack Hotel, and Riverside Casino & Golf Resort.
