Riverview Park

The Prairie Meadows Riviera Stage at Riverview Park is the star feature of a six-year effort to renovate the former site of historic Riverview Amusement Park. The concert stage is located along the banks of the Des Moines River, adjacent to the Neal Smith Trail. Along with the stage, Riverview Park is home to Des Moines’ second Variety Star all-inclusive playground. In addition, the park includes a ¼ mile walking loop, open lawn seating for several thousand guests, historic site lighting, and has an overall amusement park theme. With all these amenities, Riverview Park is able host events ranging from concerts, weddings, festivals, cultural events, and outdoor movies. 

Riverview Park and the Prairie Meadows Riviera Stage is set to become a major outdoor venue that will drive dollars to the city’s north side neighborhood. Prairie Meadows awarded the Parks Area Foundation a Legacy Grant of $200,000 in 2017 to help fund this new entertainment area.
