Prairie Meadows Supports Children Across Iowa

Variety – the Children's Charity of Iowa is dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged, at-risk, and special needs children throughout the state. Prairie Meadows has been a proud supporter of Variety since 2003 – providing more than $700,000 in funding for various projects that have impacted the quality of life of Iowa’s children. In 2019, Prairie Meadows continued its support of Variety. Prairie Meadows provided $28,600 the Kids On The Go program, which provides children with bicycles modified to enable them to ride a bike despite their disability. Prairie Meadows also donated $100,000 for the all-inclusive Variety Star playground at Riverside at Ewing Park in Des Moines. Since the inception of the Variety Telethon in 1975, The Children’s Charity has raised more than $113 million to support the children of Iowa.
