Submit your band application to participate or come cheer on the bands! Groups are judged on visual presentation, sound, preparedness and overall performance. Local radio station personalities from Cumulus Media will be on hand hosting and judging all the talent.
Applications will be available via Prairie Meadows’ website for online submission and will be open for two weeks from Thursday, August 1, to Sunday, August 18, 2024.
You can also be a part of the competition excitement by voting for your favorite band.
At the end of Week 4’s preliminary round, short videos of each band that had performed and not selected to advance will be posted to social media.
The public will have the opportunity to vote for a band to also be invited to the finals via a fan favorite vote. Results will be made public after a 24-hour period.

HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS
A total of 8 bands will be selected to participate in the event.
Two bands will compete weekly. Weekly winners are selected by judges and will advance to the finals held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 for the opportunity to win the grand prize.
Applications will be available via Prairie Meadows’ website for online submission and will be open for two weeks from August 1, 2024, to August 18, 2024. Bands selected will be contacted by August 23, 2024 to be notified of their performance date.
Applications will require band members names, contact information, Prairie Gold Rewards numbers, performance availability, audio files, and promotional photos.
Two bands selected to participate in the preliminary rounds will take turns performing a selected era of music each week, the era will be randomly selected the night of the performance and is unknown to the performers and judges prior to the night of the preliminary round.
Various eras (60's - 80's, 81 - 2000's, 2001 - Current) of music will be placed into a clear drawing drum, where a member of Cumulus Media staff will select one at random after all bands have checked in for the night’s preliminary performances.

The panel of three Judges provided by Cumulus Media will decide who moves on the finals by a combined number of scores for:
During the final round, the five bands invited back to participate will have the opportunity to perform three songs of their choice (approved by Prairie Meadows Marketing Staff prior to the performances) for a panel of three judges.
