Through its Community Betterment Grant Program, Prairie Meadows seeks to benefit as many qualified organizations as is reasonably possible with the funds available.

The Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grant Program is a formal grant process. Organizations requesting funds must complete a 2010 Community Betterment grant application, which will be available in May 2010. Completed grant applications must be received by the Community Relations Department by August 15, 2010.

Each member of the Community Betterment Grant Advisory Committee reviews all applications received. Grant applications are rated on demonstration of need, leverage of other funds secured and applied for, community support, community impact, population served, proposed evaluation of results, and strength of the organization.

The Grant Advisory Committee presents their funding recommendations to the Prairie Meadows Board of Directors. After approval from the Board of Directors, all applicants are notified of funding decisions. Prairie Meadows 2010 Community Betterment Grant Awards will be announced just after January 1, 2011, and those chosen to receive funding will do so in early 2011.
